Open House Has Anti-Neighbours
And amongst all of this, the neighbours at the end of the garden have been building a ridiculously large roof extension, the full width of the house and as high as the roof line, which gives them a great view of our back garden. It apparently doesn't need planning permission; amazing, that you can add a third storey to an end-of-terrace home and nobody can stop you.

They've always been the anti-neighbours. Their first act on moving into the house (previously occupied by the charming if slightly dotty Gladys) was to put up high fences around the garden, block of the twitten at the side of the house with a locked gate and add a security floodlight to their back garden. It's bright enough to allow you to read a book in our bedroom, and it goes off half a dozen times every night ... triggered by hedgehogs, foxes and mice. Now, surely that's ASBO behaviour?
